Neighborhoods in the Olentangy Local School District which are affected include:

Burn Brae, Deep Run at Riverbend, Foxridge, Green Meadows, Highmeadows Village,  Hidden Ravines, Kesselbrooke Station, Malabar,  Nelson Farms,  North Orange, Olentangy Crossing, Olentangy Falls, Orangewick, Riverbend, Sycamore Meadows, Tall Oaks, The Notch, Thorton Woods,  Timber Lake,  Village at North Falls, Villas at Northstar,  Villas at Riverbend Condos, Walnut Bend and West Orange.

Also affected?  Households in what is described as a "Non-Subdivided Area."
  
Some of the neighborhoods in the list were "previously redistricted in the 2010‐11 school year." and "previously redistricted in the 2009‐10 school year."  The information on the school district's webiste blog  which includes a map, a slideshow, a 33 page presentation  and tables which graphically tell the story of which neighborhoods in Olentangy schools go to a different school district.  

The Olentangy Local School District Elementary Boundaries for the 2012 to 2013 school year map on the school disctrict's site is a good resource.

• 1 school will be over crowded *(Schools Projected Over 100%)

Delaware County Ohio Homes?  There is a link to information about attendance areas for the Olentangy Local School Disctrict in the right sidebar.  If school district or a particular school is important to you, in purchasing a home check and double check tax records (for school district.) If an elementray school (or middle or high school)  is important to you double check attendance areas with the school district, but be aware redistricting within a school district happens based on changes in population.

The Olentangy Local School District got an A+ on their report card for last year. 

The school district in Southern Delaware County recieved an Excellent with Distinction designation from the Ohio Department of Education for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

You are able to view a report card for each and every elementary, middle and high school in Olentangy schools on the state site, to see how a school measures up. Of course you can do this for other school districts in the Columbus area as well, compare Olentangy schools to other school districts. 

Lewis Center and Powell are in the Olentangy Local School District along with unicorporated areas (townships) in southern Delaware County.   On 'My Links' in the right sidebar of S. Delaware County Ohio Homes the link to Olentangy Schools Attendence area is a really valuable tool.

The Olentangy Orange High School football schedule - 2011

I found the  2011 Olentangy Orange Pioneers football schedule on a site called MaxPreps.com  I could not find  the schedule on the Olentangy Orange High School website.  It must be there, I just can not see it.

It will soon be Football Friday Night in Central Ohio, the Olentangy Orange Pioneers play the Olentangy Braves for their first game of the year on  August 26, 2011.

Olentangy High School - 2011 Football Schedule

I found the 2011 Olentangy High School Braves  football schedule on a site called MaxPreps.com  I could not find  the schedule on the Olentangy High School website, I am sure it is there, I just can not see it.

All three Olentangy High Schools rank among the top schools in the US

The three high schools in the Olentangy Local school district ranked in the top 500 schools nationally.

On the Olentangy Local Schools website: 

Olentangy High Schools Again Rank among top in the nation

According to the news on the Central Ohio school district's site:

Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS)  ranked 318th

Olentangy High School (OHS) ranked 383rd

Olentangy Orange High School (OOHS) ranked 495th

The rank on the Washington Post’s High School Challenge Index had Olentangy Liberty High School and Olentangy High School muddled together.  The school district's site says initially "The Washington Post had inadvertently listed the OHS results under OLHS and vice versa." 

Congratulations to student, faculty and staff at all three Olentangy high schools!

Olentangy Schools serve the Powell and Lewis Center areas of Central Ohio in Delaware County

The Olentangy Local School District got their report card for the 2008 -2009 school year along with the rest of Ohio schools.  The Olentangy Schools earned  the highest grade possible, Excellent with Distinction.

Hooray for Olentangy Schools!

You can look up each individual school within the district as well. Or look at other Central Ohio school districts.

There is so much information available on the Ohio Department of Education site about the 2008 -2009 report cards it is overwhelming and I get lost.  I am less lost in Delaware County with only four school districts than I am in Franklin County though.

Olentangy Local School District is the only Delaware County school to earn the states "Excellent with Distinction" from the state this year.

The grades that are earned by Ohio school districts are: 

• Excellent with Distinction
• Excellent
• Effective
• Continuous Improvement
• Academic Emergency

rather than A, B, C, D and F.
