S. Delaware County Ohio Homes

New England Homes video...

The BIA did do a video of New England Homes ... looks like this was made after the Parade of Homes began on June 11.

The porch has spectacular views. The builder, Doug Annette, of New England Homes said "rookery." This spectacular lot in Olentangy Falls, overlooks a "heron rookery. " I had to look up what a "rookery" is....

Real Living HER's Builder and Developer Services Division is representing New England Homes now. This is very, very recently... like a week or so before the 2011 BIA Parade of Homes started, things were put in place...

The 2011 Parade of Homes is only through Sunday, June 26, 2011. That's this Sunday. Get out there quick if you have not seen the homes and neighborhood. Olentangy Falls is not a typical Central Ohio neighborhood, go take a look.

I love these homes. I have been following your posts about these New England Homes. Now if I had the money!

Thanks Gary.  mid $100,000's on your improved (utilities) Central Ohio lot will get you in.... not to a Parade Home mind you.  At our office sales meeting the other day one of the builders said Mid $100,000's on your lot...  I was thinking more mid $200,000s on your lot...

That "Central, Ohio" part is the probably the hard part though.... for someone from Florida.  ; - )  There will be gorgeous winter views from that porch year round.... but there will be snow in the views.

In the 1990s before they formed New England Homes when Doug Annette (in the video) was building without his two partners they built very affordable homes, great value, out in the country in southern Delaware County, Ohio.  More single lots than neighborhoods.   New England Homes still build very affordable homes with great value.  Or they can do a gorgeous "Parade Home" if the buyer has the money too.  New England Homes is looking for the buyer for their 2012 Parade Home now...  where the 2012 Parade of Homes will be should be announced any day now...

Ha ha I had to look it up too. Here's what Wikipedia had to say about Rookery: "A rookery is a colony of breeding animals, generally birds."

Love that front porch. Give me a glass of sweet tea and I could definitely sit there for awhile!

"sweet tea" ick.... but you have good taste in houses...   One of the definitions of "rookery"  I saw said something funny about the kind of animals that have "rookeries"  are "gregarious"  I knew what that meant with people but did not know why an animal would be considered "gregarious."

Gregarious
